Amazon, Etsy, eBay and Vinted want product shots on clean backgrounds. Consistent images make a catalog look professional and raise trust — and often conversion. Doing this manually for hundreds of items is not realistic; doing it with one click is.

Production details that matter at listing scale: keep the same padding ratio on every image in the set (roughly 10-15% of canvas), preserve natural contact shadows only if the marketplace allows them, and export at the required pixel dimensions rather than letting the platform upscale. For glossy and reflective products, expect the hardest edges - reflections that mirror the old background need manual cleanup after removal. Work from the largest, sharpest source available: a 2000px original gives room to refine edges that a 600px thumbnail cannot.
