Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Getting Clean Edges on Hair, Fur and Glass

• Hair and fur — shoot or choose a source image where the subject contrasts with the background. Solid, uncluttered backdrops give the model a clean signal and produce far fewer halos.
• Glass and reflections — semi-transparent objects are the hardest case. Expect the model to keep the visible frame and lose some of the see-through area; refine those spots manually.
