Single image or multi-page: how the PDF is built
A PDF made from images can be one of two things, and picking the right one saves a round trip. A single PNG becomes a one-page document sized to the image - the usual choice for signatures, scanned forms and submissions. Several PNGs in order become a multi-page PDF, which is what people actually want when assembling receipts, artwork sheets or a set of screenshots to send as one file.
Page sizing follows the image unless you choose otherwise: a 1240x1754 pixel scan lands on an A4-proportioned page, a square image gets a square page. Two settings decide quality - keep images embedded at their original resolution instead of re-encoding them, because the PDF viewer will scale down but never recover detail lost to a second compression pass. The result is fully standard: any reader, any printer, any upload portal from the last twenty years will open it.
